Riding the Waterfront Trail from Pickering to Scarborough

It was a beautiful ride along the waterfront trail once I got past Pickering.

It was a combination of paved path along Lake Ontario and adjoining roads. Since it was a weekday it wasn’t busy.

If you decide to ride the waterfront be prepared for lots of stopping for people who don’t pay attention to your ringing bell, detours on the road, bridge crossings, and in general lots bike handling.
A one hour ride turned into a tiring 2 hour ride! When you take the detours, you need to watch closely for the small waterfront signs to make sure your going the right way! I recommend this ride if you have the day to sight see and you don’t need to be somewhere at a certain time.
