The Power of Prayer

There has been many people along the way that I have been privileged to pray with for Salvation, healing, specific needs and for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. As I cycle each day, I continue to pray for those people I have met and for others that have asked for prayer for specific things.

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Righteousness refers to a “right relationship” with Jesus Christ and not whether you think you’re “doing right” in God’s eyes. Jesus wants to be our friend and guide us each day. When we initially invite him into our hearts to be our Lord and Saviour, (Salvation Prayer) we can count on our prayers being heard and being answered. I continue to pray believing that in His time, it will be answered.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
Mark 11:24-25
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

When I pray, I ask Jesus to forgive me of any sins that might stand in the way of me receiving answers to prayer. So I might be in a righteous (right) relationship at all times.

Pray for Healing!

God is still in the healing business! When we pray for the sick they will be healed. The key lies in continuous prayer, believing (faith) and being in a right relationship…

James 5:13-16
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Colossians 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

We need to be devoted to our prayers and stay alert in it. Again continuous prayer, and paying close attention to what God is doing. Always giving thanks when we pray.

In the past few weeks, as I travel, I have prayed with many individuals and couples for Salvation, for healing, specific needs as well as for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit I have started making a list that you too can pray for these new believers:

Chris and Norm from Lindsay
Bill from Dunsford
Ellen from West Guilford
Dorothy and Pat from Bobcaygeon
Gary and Doris along Rd 28 towards Griffith
Bert and Carol from Griffith
Ken and Anita from Smith’s Bay Campsite
Mervin and Billy from Pembroke
Pierre from Quyon, Quebec
Dino from England

Please continue to pray for me as I continue the last half of my cycling trip back towards Toronto that God will continue to bring people into my path to minister to.

Also if you have a specific need you need prayer for, please email me (cyclingevangelist@gmail.com) so I can pray for you as I ride from one destination to the other.
