Hello my friends! It is that wonderful time of year again when I can get out on my bike and share of the gospel of Jesus Christ to those that I meet along the way.
In the past year I have turned my back on my teaching job of 20 years, and turned to him for his plan for my life! So far I have not been disappointed! Yes, there have been many challenges and trials but he has been faithful in leading and providing for me every step of the way! Jesus said, “I will never leave or forsake you…!” Deuteronomy 31:8 and if you believe and turn over your life to me, you will not be left behind. Matthew 16:24
When you become a believer, you become part of his family and Jesus is your heavenly father! Trust in him and “all things will be added to you according to his riches and glory!” Philippians 4:19
As some doors have closed…many more have opened! Truly I feel set free from “toils and cares of the world” and living day to day as Jesus has intended. Each day we can come to him in prayer and build our personal relationship with him. It is not about when or where we go to church, but coming to him each day – in prayer and supplication. Jesus takes the bad things and turn them into something good! But we must have faith and trust him as he says in his word.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Why Jesus Christ and aren’t all religions the same? I know whom I serve and the goodness of his grace and his love for me. Years ago when I first became a Christian, Jesus spoke to me as he does to those who receive his Holy Spirit, “Go tell my people about me. Tell them that I love them.” I meet many people who haven’t yet met Jesus personally and believe that they can have eternal life by just being a good person or going to church regularly. Don’t be mislead! The Christian bible is clear when it says we must be “saved” or receive salvation to enter the kingdom of heaven.
HE WHO BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS EVERLASTING LIFE; AND HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, BUT THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDES ON HIM.”
9 BUT AS IT IS WRITTEN: “EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN, THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”[A]
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
When we strive to be a faithful servant and share the gospel and give testimony to those who are willing to listen, we are blessed and our needs are forfilled. Jesus is the “alpha and the omega” – the first and the last and there is no other God that offers salvation, a personal one on one relationship through his Holy Spirit and eternal life through God the Father.
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
2 Timothy 2:10
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Although it has been a challenging year for me, I press on in the new direction for my life to serve Jesus Christ. I look forward to preaching the gospel and the message of salvation and hope while cycling across Ontario!
