Many times the “traditions of man” get in the way of God doing his work ’cause people expect God to do things in a way that is pleasing to them. The bible says that “my ways are not your ways” (Isaiah 55:8) and the “traditions of man nullify or cancel out the word of God” (Matthew 15:1-9). How many of you attend a church service that is built on church led programs, music concerts and community oriented programs? What happened to preaching the gospel? As well as a cyclist, I have been an music worship leader for about 10 years. Many times I have attended church services where I felt the music has gone on far too long and is way too loud. Music is to prepare peoples’ hearts to receive the Word of God and really should go on more than 25 minutes. Anytime after that people start getting tired of standing and/or participating. When I go to church I am anticipating to hear from Jesus and I want to hear the Preacher’s message. I do the music at a house church weekly. I belong to a fellowship that ministers in the Holy Spirit, pray for one another; building each other up. God uses his people as they are willing to serve at anywhere and anytime. He hears our prayers and answers in his time, in his way and not always do we understand. Sometimes it takes time until the Holy Spirit reveals to us what God has done. We are to give thanks to him always.
